This 925 sterling silver pendant is inspired by the Compass Rose, a symbol of good luck for sailors venturing into uncharted waters. Its distinctive shape features an 8-point star engraved on a slim, circular pendant, framed by a braided silver rope. Four points represent the cardinal directions as well as the four winds governed by Aeolus, and the four main human passions.

Crafted and produced by our goldsmiths, this piece features an original design that goes beyond the classic eight points, enriched with many others engraved on a circular, slender pendant, surrounded by a braided silver rope.

In Feel No Pain’s interpretation, the possible paths are endless, much like the infinite choices one can make in life.

A PERPETUAL GUIDE

Just as the cardinal points guide sailors, the Compass Rose guides individuals in their search for the right path.

THE ROPE.

A rope surrounds the pendant, enclosing the eight points of the Compass Rose; it is a symbol of maritime knowledge and adventure.

The Compass Rose has roots in Greek mythology, linked to the four winds controlled by Aeolus, each with its unique character, not only governing the seas and lands but also reflecting human emotions.

Zephyrus, the west wind, is a gentle spring breeze bringing renewal and hope. In contrast, Boreas, the cold north wind, symbolizes the destructive force of winter and conflict. Eurus, the east wind, rises with dawn, spreading warm energy and evoking passion and awakening. Finally, Auster, the warm, humid south wind, brings storms and summer’s decay, symbolizing change and transition.

Their breaths reflect human passions: Zephyrus embodies love and serenity, Boreas fear and anger, Eurus the joy of a new day, and Auster the sadness of intense, uncertain moments.

The Compass Rose is not only a symbol of control and balance between natural and emotional forces but also of the eternal struggle between the many facets of the human soul.
